Winston Wilson Senyaeli holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Dar es Salaam, which provided him with a strong foundation in understanding social structures and inequalities. This foundation, coupled with his experience working in the Nyarugusu refugee camp in Kigoma Region, ignited his passion for social justice and a commitment to empowering communities.
Currently, Winston is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the Institute of Social Work in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This program is generously supported by the RESILIENT project, funded by NORAD. His goal is to contribute to a more equitable society where everyone has access to opportunities and can thrive. Witnessing firsthand the resilience and strength of those seeking refuge in Nyarugusu solidified his desire to advocate for marginalized communities. His Master’s degree will equip him with the tools and knowledge to effectively address the complex social issues facing Tanzania, particularly in empowering communities and creating a more just and equitable society.
