Naomi B. Kapinga

Naomi B. Kapinga is a professional Social Worker who is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work under the NORHED-funded RESILIENT Project at the Institute of Social Work, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree, diploma, technician and basic technician certificates.

She gained practical experience working with various private and governmental organizations. Whereas at Temeke Municipal Social Welfare Office, she assessed elderly individual needing free health services, provided counseling to truant students and evaluated children for foster care placement. She also gained significant experience at Kawe Ward Social Welfare Service, where she assessed daycare centers’ registration and evaluated individuals with disabilities within the ward.

Furthermore, she contributed to Crisis Resolving Centre, focusing on preparing proposals for addressing the needs of children living in rural ares. She worked as well in Thamani Yangu, Utu wangu Foundation involved in assessing needs and providing support to orphanages and individuals living in poverty.

This diverse experience reflects Naomi’s commitment to supporting and advocating for vulnerable populations and she has dedicated her knowledge and skills to drive positive change in the field of social work.
