
Niyigena Martha is a Rwandan Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from the University of Rwanda and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the Institute of Social Work in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania under the Resilient Project.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree, she interned for six months under the servant team program for internees at Word Made Flesh Rwanda. Eventually she was hired as full time social worker. Martha dedicated herself to fostering the wellbeing and holistic transformation of women and children living in vulnerable communities through friendship, discipleship, and economic empowerment opportunities.
In order to assist women in achieving their full potential, she has completed training from SINAPIS Business Training for Faith-Driven Entrepreneurs
For six months, Martha was also involved in an empowerment project for teen mothers, which helped women become more resilient and improve their overall wellbeing.
Martha has participated in Local Organizing Committee for the International Social Work Conference held in Kigali in 2018.
She is currently taking part in Social Labs project an intervention for economic empowerment for youth in Gicumbi District in Rwanda.
